Sailboat Potholder

I used this book and scrap fabric for the block.

This was a Christmas gift for my brother. I wasn't sure about giving my older brother a quilted pot holder. He bungee jumps, scuba dives, sky dives, rock climbs, surfs, etc. A pot holder? For the adventurer? I decided to go ahead with it anyway, since he recently bought a condo and doesn't have a ton of stuff in the way of kitchen supplies (he is as much of an adventurer as I am a homemaker). So, I thought perhaps. I think it was well received, as were the hand-me-down pots and pans that went along with it.
